Indie 2009 recebe inscrições para a 9a edição

Mostra de Cinema Mundial, que acontece em setembro em Belo Horizonte e São Paulo, recebe inscrições de filmes, de longa e média duração, até o dia 19 de maio.

Filmes brasileiros e produções internacionais podem se inscrever ao Indie 2009 - Mostra de Cinema Mundial. A nona edição da mostra está programada para acontecer entre os dias 03 e 10 de setembro, em Belo Horizonte, e 10 e 17 de setembro, em São Paulo.

O Indie 2009 aceita inscrições de filmes brasileiros, realizados em 2008 e 2009, de ficção (duração acima de 70 minutos); documentários (de qualquer tema com duração acima de 50 minutos); e documentários que tenham como tema a música (acima de 40 minutos). Para as produções internacionais são aceitas obras de ficção ou documental com duração acima de 60 minutos e realizadas entre 2007-2009. Para ambos, são aceitas produções realizadas em 35mm ou digital.

O regulamento completo e a ficha de inscrição estão no site www.indiefestival.com.br e podem ser feitas também pelo sistema internacional de inscrições Withoutabox - http://www.withoutabox.com/login/4945. As inscrições acontecem até o dia 19 de maio. Alguns filmes poderão ser selecionados para a edição em ambas a cidade (BH e SP) ou apenas em uma delas.

Focado, principalmente, na produção independente realizada no país e no mundo, nos filmes de novos realizadores e nas obras inéditas no circuito nacional, o Indie já contabilizou, desde 2001, mais de 140 mil espectadores. O Indie 2009 é uma realização da Zeta Filmes.

Belo Horizonte, Brazil - INDIE 2009 - World Film Festival has announced submission details for documentaries and fictions films.

INDIE 2009 - World Film Festival is an annual event. This is the 9th edition dedicated to national and international independent features. In its last edition, the festival received more than 20.000 viewers. All festival screenings are free entrance. We are going to have venues in 5 different movie theatres around Belo Horizonte and a touring in São Paulo as well. Indie - World Film Festival has a hard work to form an audience for independent film in Brazil. In our recent history, we already brought more than 150.000 viewers among young students, adults and kids to see cultural films from all over the world. This is a non-profit event and we intend to have 20.000 people this year.

For more information and to subscribe your film you must read the regulations and fill out an entry form available online at > http://www.indiefestival.com.br or at Withoutabox > http://www.withoutabox.com/login/4945 . No submission fees are required.

Indie 2009 will accept international submissions only for WORLD CINEMA, UNDERGROUND MUSIC DOCUMENTARY and INDIE BRAZIL. The festival will showcases the creative possibilities of new filmmaking and its dialogue between music and cinema and also will highlight truly fiction and documentary works from new directors that is pushing the moving image forward.

The Festival will accept feature films from all over the world, presented originally in any format.

To be eligible for the INDIE 2009 screenings, works must follow the conditions:

|| Feature Fiction Films and Documentaries: minimum running time 60 minutes (for the program World Cinema).

|| Documentary about music, of any sort, and/or about musicians or a music cultural manifestation: 40 minutes or longer (for the program Underground Music).

|| Feature fiction and documentaries (over 50 mins) produced in Brazil or from a Brazilian director (only). Any theme is welcome for documentaries. (for the program Indie Brazil)

Works finished in 2007/ 2008/ 2009, originally in any format: 16mm, 35mm, Beta, DigiBeta, DV and others. Short films will not be accepted.

INDIE 2009 – WORLD FILM FESTIVAL will be opened for submissions until May 19th, 2009.
